Fuel Vaporizer Retrofit Sytem for Tricycles
This project involves the production and marketing of Eco-G3000, an energy-saving system for combustion engines. Eco-G3000 reduces fuel consumption by 40% and emission by 80%. The system was successfully tested by the Department of Science and Technology, Department of Energy, and Land Transportation Office-accredited emission testing centres. Sixty systems are bow used on the road.
A unique aspect of the project is its partnership with local government units (LGUs), tricycle operators, and drivers' cooperatives to streamline the financing, distribution, installation, and maintenance of the Eco-G3000. A government financing institutions is willing to finance the purchase of Eco-G3000 through LGUs and cooperatives, which will in turn collect the payments. As an incentive, AMCA will provide the LGUs a system for monitoring the collection of payments from tricycle drivers. This will make lending and collection easy and organized.
The project offers LGUs a complete program to implement the Philippine Clean Air Act by supplying an affordable fuel vaporizer retrofit system that not only reduces emissions of polluting tricycles but also reduces fuel consumption.
